Biography

Jodi Rose Gonzales ATR, NCC, RYT200 is an artist, art therapist, author, yogi and coach whose mission is to empower creative people to achieve lasting personal change and breakthrough professional results. Using a unique evidence-based program informed by art therapy, positive psychology, neuroscience and yoga, Jodi shows her clients how to achieve peak performance, peace of mind, enhanced clarity, and improved creativity and focus.

Jodi has a dynamic background and a wide range of professional expertise:

A Pioneering Strategist and Leader

Jodi has pioneered numerous non-profit and community programs. In 2001, she launched the community outreach program at the Peninsula School of Art; in 2009, she co-founded an art-based economic development initiative in Perry County, TN; and most recently she led a WWII museum to achieve Core Documents Verification by the American Alliance of Museums, a recognition attained by approximately 3% of American museums.

Over the past two decades, Jodi has curated and implemented over 110 community arts projects & exhibits, including public art and temporary environmental sculpture installations.

Jodi is a graduate of Door County Leadership and Greater Tucson Leadership. She has served on the Board of Directors of numerous arts and environmental non-profit organizations; she has been a grant administrator and panelist for the Peninsula Arts Association and the Wisconsin Arts Board, and she was an Honorary Squadron Commander of the 355th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Az.

An Engaging Speaker and Presenter

Jodi has presented three times at the national conference of the American Art Therapy Association; as well as at colleges and regional conferences. She offers her knowledge to entrepreneurs; (active and veteran) military members; academic leaders; non-profit organizations (board, staff, and/or members); and to the general public.

A Classically Trained and Credentialed Healer

Jodi has studied with numerous art therapy pioneers including Arthur Robbins, Pat Allen, Bruce Moon and Sean McNiff. She holds a dual Masters Degree in Expressive Arts Therapy and Counseling Psychology from Prescott College, and is credentialed by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB).

Since 2010, Jodi has worked in a variety of clinical and therapeutic settings including private practice, residential treatment, outpatient clinics, vocational rehabilitation programs, and a day shelter program for adults with developmental disability. She has worked extensively with children in protective custody; women and teens with eating disorders and/or addiction; and adults with developmental disability, autism, severe brain trauma, and/or PTSD.
